Cookie Making Adventure Part 2

One of the benefits of being here rather than there are Matt's hours. They are SO MUCH BETTER. There's not a chance there that Matt would have arrived home in time to do something fun as a family like make chocolate chip cookies. We love it.

So, we decided to do just that the other night. With Sam's "help", we had quite the mess to clean up afterwards, including when he turned the mixer on high speed after we added all the dry ingredients. Yep. They went everywhere. (see prior post...). Peanut was covered too. But it was so fun.

Helping to scoop out the cookies. (Sam also discovered the joy of cookie dough. He kept asking Matt for a "piece".)

Showing off the finished product.

Taste testing...

Sam thought he and Matt were really funny...

Sam just wanted to do just what Matt did all night long. Including resting his head on his hands and stretching out his back on the floor just like daddy.

(Note Sam trying so hard not to laugh or look at the camera...)

you haven't been gone that long and he seems to have grown up so much... I love his subtelly silly little personality! And, does "peanut" have a name yet??

daddy days are the best. The kids always look forward to that. I'm glad you get to see him more.

That's so great! Every boy needs a daddy around. My hubby is still in the inconvinent working schedule but hopefully things will change with the next shift change! Cookies are an even better way to enjoy those days together! That's so fun! The last picture is great!
