Someone Needs a Haircut

What do you do when your little boy wakes up like THIS in the morning?
I mean really... is this bedhead possible?
Look at the waves and faux-hawk!
Some people pay good money for this hairstyle...
Well, you finally give your consent (after weeks of a pestering hubby and the realization that you actually hate having to DO your kids' hair) that your son needs a haircut.
Cute little Zack looks so much older with short hair!

Golf Clubs are Not Toys

Sam learned this lesson the hard way after "playing Superheroes with golf clubs" at a friend's house. Luckily no stitches required on the chin (which is covered by a bandaid in this photo, but is much worse than the cheek). And we're so grateful that the hit resulting in a cheek gash missed his eye by an inch.

Lesson? We don't fight our friends with hard objects. Even when we're playing. :)

"I think we should just be friends..."

I have not broken up with my blog entirely... We've just downgraded our relationship for a while. :)

Ever feel like you've missed too much? You're stuck because you don't know whether to go back and play catch up or continue on and ignore all the fabulous happenings of the past several months?

Well, I'm going to do both.

I promise to TRY to post once a day for the next week. So... here goes. Three posts today.

Nutrition Facts According to Zack

Sam loves to read the nutrition facts on everything - especially cereal boxes.

Zack caught on to the craze around here. I just about died laughing. Check this out...

Letter to Jake

Who flew from the MTC in Provo, UT to Dallas, TX this past week...

Sam wanted to draw Jake a picture and drew this completely by himself! Nice, huh? Obviously, I made comments below...

Alex + Twitch = FANTASTICO

Hooray for hip hop. Hooray for the funny backstory about a recovering ballet dancer. Hooray for a routine that is about something other than the nauseatingly overdone boy/girl relationship drama on SYTYCD!

Love this dance. So does Sam. Wish I could do what they do...

(This was by far the best quality video I could find. Fast forward past his "inspiration" to the dance. About 1:11 into it...)

Lessons Learned

Lesson #1

When painting your interior doors and trim, two-year-olds do NOT make good helpers.
No matter how adorable you think those mini rollers are.(Now if someone can help me get the paint off the carpet, the doorknob, cover up the paint on the walls, and get it out of both my hair and ZACK's.... we'd be good.)See those frosted tips in his hair? Yep. Still there two days later.

Lesson #2

Apparently our family wears out pants.

In the right knees only.
Know of anywhere I can buy right-knee-reinforced pants?? :)

Keep Your Eye On the Drummer

I haven't laughed this hard at a youtube video in a while. HILARIOUS.
