Happy LUV Day

One of my new years resolutions is to celebrate the holidays more. More basically means more than a passing thought that today is actually V Day. So, we went all out. Sam helped me tape hearts up on all the walls, hang hearts from the ceiling, do some valentine's crafts, color some cute free valentines, etc. We had PINK waffles with strawberries and pink whipped cream for breakfast, heart shaped sandwiches for lunch, and Mindy's DELICIOUS stuffed pork chops for dinner. Ahhhh. Yum.

The best part about our celebrations? How much Sam LOVED it.

Matt - even though you hardly read this blog and may never see this... and even though you hate validating this "hallmark holiday"...

Happy Luv Day to you, my foxilicious hubby.

seriously what is wrong with our husbands? travis gets "irritated" with valentines day. what a party pooper. he and matt should be each others valentines.

I seem to recall a VDay with something like, oh, an engagement... so Matt can't really complain all that loudly, can he?

Isn't it SO fun watching your kids on Holidays!? Brady responded the same way. It validates doing all the work for it to me.....ha ha Glad you had a fun day!

To whom it may concern:

I have nothing against the tasteful expressions of true love on February 14 or any other day of the year.

What I do object to is the over-hyped over-commercialized social construct that has developed which has the general effect of compelling otherwise rational people to BUY THINGS at unconcionable prices to prove their love and devotion to their "true loves" (which, of course, makes a hideous mockery of the very concept of "true love").

Frankly, it all makes less sense to me than just ruffling my feathers, puffing my neck, or showing my swollen red backside. As mating rituals go, it is a very odd behavior.

Now, having gotten that off my chest:

I love you Marse. You are the love of my life. Thank you for your sweet post.

Matt-

The fact that you put "true love" in quotes pretty much made my day.

One peace.

The rebuttal is beautiful Matt (and I tend to think the same thing), but it still sounds like Marci and Sam got the most fun out of it all.
