Sam's Mohawk and other pics

Some of my favorite girls. All three going to BYU in the fall!

We had a 16-player MarioKart party with the youth on Saturday. Here we are afterward playing Pit. I left after this game... since it was 10:30pm and I had a 7am Sunday morning meeting!

We had Lindsay and Collin Wolfe here over the last several days. One night, we also had the Dawsons over for dinner. Collin, Millie, and Sam all loved reading books with Matt.

Matt was playing with the camera, experimenting with exposure (partly for my Photography slideshow I had with the YW), and these are the results. I love these of Sam and me.

And... drum roll please... what I'm sure you've been waiting for...

SAM'S MOHAWK PICS!!!

(We love Sam's funny face on this last one...)

Pirate's Booty

My good friend Lindsay was just here visiting and opened my eyes to this DELICIOUS snack called Pirate's Booty.

What's that you say? Did you say PIRATE'S BOOTY?!?! Yes, yes, indeed I did.

Now, I'm not one for snacky foods. I don't really like chips or crackers. Not one for cheese puffs or pretzels. BUT - this stuff is to die for. I just unabashedly purchased FOUR bags of Pirate's Booty from the grocery store (it was on sale...). It has the taste of white cheddar popcorn without the kernels between your teeth. Sam loves it too - it practically dissolves in your mouth and is perfect for little babes.

I'm in love...

You should try some too if you haven't yet. I found mine in the organic section of our grocery store.

"Spring" in Boston OR Matt's Hair Adventures

Matt came back from a walk with Sam (in our balmy 35 degree spring weather) with the "awesomest" hair. Check it out...

(You could read here a bit more about our hair adventures...)

More DC Pics

Lisa and I may have similar posts here, since we're working from the same picture base, but here are my favorites...

We went to the zoo, which was great! Sam and Sophie loved seeing the animals (especially the elephant for Sam), and Sam loved pushing his own and Sophie's strollers all over the place. Lisa and I got a good workout hiking up to the panda exhibit from where we parked...

We had a cousin BBQ / Conference fun at Oliver and Kristin's on Saturday. Oliver posted almost ALL the pics we took, so I'll let you see the rest of them there... Sam fell asleep while we were there (which was a GOOD thing... he was so tired!). Nothing sweeter than a sleeping baby.

Sophie is a determined little gal. And this time she was determined to make a MESS eating. As you can see, her determination stretched to Lisa as well. :)

Cousins Sam and Sophie

This pic is so funny. Sam looks like he's scowling, "Leave me alone! I'm cuddling with my Aunt Weese!"

Sam at the playground by the Jenkins' place. It was so fun to see you guys, Robb, Heather and little Claire! I'm mad I didn't take more pics there!

The rest are of Sam and Sophie - and one fam pic of the LaPierres. Thanks for everything! Come see us sometime soon...

Sophie's Angst

I'm sure Lisa will post about this... but these pics are too priceless.

Cherry Blossoms

On Monday, Mary and Nikolai, Lisa and Sophie, and Matt, Sam, and I all headed downtown to see the cherry blossoms. It was a GORGEOUS day - 70 degrees, sunny, and perfect. The cherry blossoms were supposed to peak on Tuesday, so they were beautiful and cottony white everywhere. We even saw Yoko Ono doing some interview while we were walking around. Here are some pics from the fun outing.

Sam wanted to push the stroller onto the busy street...

Sweet Sam

Spring in DC

We just got back from a FAB trip to DC visiting Lisa, Bryce, and Sophie. I have a ton of pics to sort through, but here's one for now. It's of us at the cherry blossoms downtown. More to come!

Kleenex Box Adventures

See for yourself...

Count Snuggleopogus

Yes. Sam loves to snuggle with what we call his "snuggle things". This consists of his blue blanket, little square blanket, doggie, bear, and whatever else is nubby and soft.

This morning he was walking around with his square blanket in his mouth and his blue blanket draped over his shoulders. Hence the name... Count Snuggleopogus.

Welcome... Spring?!?!?

Here are some pics from the weekend. We got a foot of snow and it's taking its sweet time to melt. I'm more than a little antsy for spring!

Sam loved the sound of the snow crunching under his feet - he would walk a few steps, then laugh, then walk a bit more, then laugh. He loved playing in it too. He was quite soaking wet and cold when we came back inside!
