Bear Lake

Whew! Thanks for all the comments, loyal readers. :)

We had a blast with the Romneys at Bear Lake the few days before the 4th. What fun! I had never been there before, and it's beautiful. Our condo had a particularly lovely view... and thanks to Zack waking up to nurse at 5:20am, I was able to take this shot of the sunrise from the deck off the living room.

CA trip

We had a wonderful time in CA for my grandmother's funeral. It was a quick and last-minute trip (and yes! I survived traveling with 2 on an airplane for the first time - thanks to my mother-in-law for taking me to the airport and getting a gate pass to see me through security and to my mom for meeting me on the other side!!!), but it was fun to see everyone and good to feel closure from the funeral. I'm so glad we were able to go to Dallas in March to see my grandma one last time. Anyway - lots of pics!

This might well be my most labor-intensive post, so PLEASE leave me a comment or else I might never post again. :)

Library Books

Sam loves the library. One of his favorite activities is going through all the books from our most recent trek to the library and "reading" them one by one in his room.

Grandma Beth

My fabulous grandmother passed away on Thursday. I can't say it any better than my mom or my sister. Suffice it to say that Grandma was the most generous, kind, compassionate, humble, most wonderful woman in the world. I loved her delicious spread of food all the time (egg salad, desserts of all varieties, lots of butter on everything...), her cute ways of showing how much she loves me (tucking a couple 20 dollar bills in my pocket each time I saw her while I was in college or mailing me random packages as surprises with knit slippers, jelly beans, etc), and how she always thought of others first. I will miss her lots.

Yes. I know all the names of construction vehicles now. And we had a yellow backhoe loader in our front yard for about 2 hours this morning thanks to our water main being repaired. Sam LOVED it.

Chocolate Yogurt

Yes. Sam LOVES chocolate yogurt - chocolate mousse yoplait whips yogurt to be specific. Here are some pics from his recent discovery of this passion. (Those of you who know Sam know that he doesn't like to get messy - even with food. So he MUST really love this stuff...)

Like Leese, I can't post without a photo. Somewhat old, but I never posted about this trip to see the pig farm with Grandpa because it happened the day before Zack was born. Sam thought the pigs were okay... mostly he LOVED the "DIGGERS" and being with COUSINS!!!
